Auto 66 were also running a hillclimb last sunday at their Olivers Mount home in Scarborough. Perfect weather ensured the recently re-surfaced track was in good condition.
An interesting selection of cars and motorcycles were running. Amongst the car were a class of Minis which reminded us of The Italian Job as they were lined up in the paddock. The classic class included the lovely MG Q type driven by Les Procter and the rare NSU 1200TT of David Smithies.
The racing car classes included Brian Walker driving his Norton engined Brytec for the first time in 15 years.
FTD was won by Gary Thomas in a Force PT Suzuki, breaking John Chacksfields 8 year old class record in a time of 40.47 seconds.
