Martin Bolsover

Close to perfection. Martin dominated the smaller capacity classes of hillclimbing as know one had before, achieving incredible results with a 1600cc BDA Pilbeam in the early 80s (including a class record on Jersey which stood until 2010).

After moving to the big class in 1982 he won two championships before stepping back for a ‘quiet year’ in 1984 with a Pilbeam sportscar. His quiet year ended with the first, and only, championship win for a sportscar in the history of the sport.

Bolsover then retired from hillclimbing to concentrate on circuit racing.
