Ray Rowan

Engineering victory. Ray won the 1989 British Hillclimb Championship in his self-built Roman chassis and was the last man to achieve this feat.

Always short on budget, Ray made up for his lack of funds by finding clever engineering solutions, and by displaying total faith in his own designs. Built his own V8 powered Roman in the early 90s before retiring from the sport to concentrate on his circuit racing team’s challenge for the British F3 Championship.
