Champ’s 2013 Plans?

Unfortunately there was a big disappointment at Loton Park last Saturday morning when it became clear that Trevor Willis had been forced to withdraw his entry for the weekend.

Trevor Willis OMS 25

2013 BHC Winner Trevor Willis with his OMS 25

The 2012 British Hillclimb Champion was due to appear as a shakedown run prior to starting the defense of his title at Prescott Hillclimb next weekend, but unfortunately his car was not ready for competition.

There have been rumours running around for several months about Trevor’s plans for the new season, and they seem to be gathering pace…

Several paddock wags have told us that OMS boss Steve Owen is building three new chassis for the 2013 season, and that one of these chassis will be for Trevor.

If Trev does have a new car, will it feature the same Radical Performance Engines/Powertec V8? Will it be different from the OMS 25 that we have seen so far? What is the reason for the switch?

One thing is for sure, it will be fascinating to see what emerges from the ever industrious Steve Owen’s Leeds workshop.
