Fastest Ladies Collect Awards

The British Women Racing Drivers Club held their annual awards dinner last weekend at the splendid Jacobean Nailcote Hall Hotel, Warwickshire.

Hillclimb drivers were well represented at the event with Jo Hodgson collecting the Shell Trophy for Hillclimbing and Jackie Guille being awarded the National Speed Trophy for Hillclimbing and Sprinting.

With her very successful King Mews Racing Lotus Elan, Jo Hodgson has dominated the points tables for the Shell Trophy in recent years, indeed 2010 was her 8th win! Whereas Guernsey, Channel Islands driver Jackie Guille is really getting to grips with her OMS-Suzuki these days and proved that she is just as quick as Father Geoff and Brother Chris who run in the 2-litre class.

Congratulations from all at speedhillclimb.com to both Jo (left) and Jackie (right) on their successful championship campaigns. We look forward to seeing you out on the hills again in 2011.

Hi Folks, Thanks for the nice little feature – send congrats to Jackie on her win.
Noticed you got date of 1st Wiscombe Event wrong – it’s May 7th (500 Owners) not 2nd with VSCC event on 8th. Look forward to seeing Rod Thorne in the ex-Roy Lane Pilbeam – very exciting!!!
    Cheers for now.
