Fintray Fun

The Grampian Automobile Club are running two days of competition on the brilliant Fintray Hillclimb in Aberdeenshire this weekend.

Like Castle Hillclimb last weekend, adverse weather conditions earlier in the year mean that this is the first 2012 competition at the hill.

Fintray was a BHC round for many years and formed a June ‘holiday week’ as it ran the weekend before Doune. The late, great Roy Lane held the record at Fintray for over a decade until it was finally beaten by Stewart Robb Jnr a couple of years ago with the ex. Moran/Leinster Pilbeam.

The events this weekend are both rounds of the Scottish Championship. Fin Whyte leads the Scottish series ahead of George Coghill Jnr and Steve Marr and all three will be battling for top honours this weekend.
