Hillclimbs – May 5th and 6th 2012

There are 3 events happening this coming weekend, at Shelsley Walsh, Werrington, and Llys-yFran.

At Shelsley there is the “May Midlander”, a 2-day event with all competition runs on the Sunday, events include:

  • 2012 TTC Group Midland Hill Climb Championship, including the Avon/BMTR Top Ten Challenge twelve car run-off (one before lunch and the other at the end of the day)
  • Paul Matty Sports Cars Lotus Championship
  • ‘Flat Head’ historic cars with side valve engines
  • Historic Aston Martin Racing Club Members
  • British Women Racing Drivers Club

Saturday practice 9.15am – c5.30pm – £12 entry
Sunday 9.15 am – c5.30pm – £15 entry

Accompanied under 16s are free

At Werrington in North Cornwall there’s also a 2 day event:

  • The ASWMC Championship

All the usual Westcountry crew will be there.

From 10 am until late afternoon – £6 for adults with children under 14 free

Finally, Llys-y-Fran is running on just the Sunday in Pembrokeshire, competitions include:

  • Autoglym Lotus 7
  • Trident Welsh

Have fun whichever you choose to go to – and don’t forget it’s a Bank Holiday on Monday – so plenty of time to get over the excitement.

    Werrington is a round of the Bridge Tyres ASWMC Hillclimb championship, the Hamilton Classic ACSMC Hillclimb championship, the Cornish speed championship, the REIS HSA speed championship & the Torbay Motor Club Speed championship!
