July Harewood Preview

The British Hillclimb Championship returns to competition this weekend after a refreshing two week break at the BARC (Yorshire)’s Harewood Hillclimb.

Championship Leader Scott Moran has an impressive record at the Yorkshire venue and must start as the favourite for the Run Off wins.

In recent years the bike-engined cars have made massive gains at Harewood (as everywhere else), and you can bet that Lee Adams, Jos Goodyear and local favourite Richard Spedding will be battling for podium placings.

If Alex Summer’s recent engine problems have been solved then he could threaten Paul Haimes’ 2-litre record with the DJ Firehawk.

We have heard that Unfortunately Tom New won’t be appearing at Harewood this weekend as his off in the second Run Off at Doune caused slightly more damage than first thought.

And of course, if you are travelling to Harewood this weekend then don’t forget that it is the British Grand Prix at Silverstone so avoid the A43!

Also, you might think of me this morning. I am sat in my office, with the noise of F1 cars outside, but unable to see anything!
