Opening Loton Event

After the cancellation of the Loton Park Practice weekend due to bad weather a few weeks ago, track action finally returns to the Shropshire venue after the winter this weekend.

Two single-day events for the Midland Speed and Association of North West Car Clubs Championships make up the program at Sir Michael Leighton’s deer park venue.

As well as the championship contenders competing on the hill, the events also play host to a number of British Championship contenders taking the opportunity to shakedown their cars for 2013.

2013 BHC title winner Trevor Willis will run with ‘number 1′ on his car for the first time this weekend, and Jos Goodyear and Will Hall will also be having a play as well as pushing hard for FTD.

Jos’ GWR Raptor will debuting its new flappy-paddle gear-change and methanol fuelling, whilst Will Hall will be checking out his new aero package on the Force-Nissan.

Our Correspondent will be on commentary full-time as usual at Loton, so there will be entertainment all weekend to accompany the action on the track.
