Power Cut at Loton Park

We have just heard news of the withdrawl of one of the most exciting car & driver combinations that were due to be appearing at this weekends British Hillclimb Championship finale at Loton Park, Shropshire.

2009 & 2010 British Sprint Champion Nick Algar was due to be making a rare hillclimb appearance at the wheel of a special works-backed Westfield iRacer. The event should have seen the new electric-powered sportscar making it’s hillclimb debut.

However, due to production pressures caused by the impending start of the international EV Cup, Westfield have been forced to scratch the entry for Loton.

It is a great shame as many spectators would have loved to have seen this new technology in action on the parkland hill, but Westfield have assured Nick that they will make a car available to him for a Loton event in the future.
