Shelsley Stars on Small Screen

We understand that the Midland Automobile Club, the custodians of The World Famous Shelsley Walsh Hillclimb in Worcestershire, have been making great use of their historic facility with more non-competitive activities.

Shelsley Walsh Hillclimb

In recent weeks the venue has been transformed into a film set as a popular BBC TV series has been filming on location.

Father Brown is a series of fictional detective stories by GK Chesterton following the exploits of a parish priest in the 1920s.

The show is on location across the Cotswolds and Midlands and has used a number of Shelsley’s preserved paddock buildings and even a few MAC members in their filming.

The lead role is played by Harry Potter star (and former Fast Show regular) Mark Williams, alongside Hugo Spear, Sorcha Cusak and Kasia Koleczek.

Filming is now complete at Shelsley Walsh and the series is due to be aired in January 2014.
