Our Correspondent… At Loton Park !

Our Correspondent reportsĀ from the first round of the Midland Hillclimb Championship at Loton Park last weekend:

There was a Roger and Scott Moran one-two in Easter Mondays opening Midland Hill Climb Championship round at Loton Park which was also the first ever one-day round of the MHC.

Roger Moran took the first run off with his son second and Scott returned the compliment later with victory from the last run of the day in their Gould-NME with his dad second.

Their long term rival Chris Merrick was third both times.

Last years hillclimb leaders champ Will Hall managed fifth and fourth and there was a seventh and ninth for Uni student Alex Summers in his first ever run offs in the Supercharged DJ-Suzuki acquired by his dad over winter. Hall also took a class record during the day as did the ‘long fellow’ Allan Warburton who was nominated Man of the Meeting.
