Double Dry Doune!?

The penultimate round of the British Hillclimb Championship season took place at Doune in Scotland at the weekend and, after the record-breaking bonanza at the hill in June, miraculously this latest event was warm and sunny yet again!

As well as seeing a number of class records set over the weekend, we also crowned our 2014 British Champion. Having dominated with his usual brand of metronomic consistency and blistering pace, Ludlow driver Scott Moran claimed his fifth title, joining Martyn Griffiths and David Grace as a five times winner and just one win away from the record set by the late, great Tony Marsh.

Doune On-Board Action

With it ultra high-speed, claustrophobic, tree-lined ‘Tunnel’ section at the lower end of the hill, the curving blast through the Meadow and tricky East Brae and Esses section at the top, Doune Hillclimb in Scotland is undoubtedly the king of hills.

Madmac’s New Website

As well as supplying us with our excellent speedhillclimb.com stickers, Donald ‘MadMac’ McCaskill has been working hard on his newly updated website in recent weeks.

The Scottish Evo5 driver has updated his site (http://www.madmacmotorsport.com/) to include details of the modifications he has made to the uber-powerful Evo, results, Evo tuning products that are available through Donald and a lengthy section about his cars sponsors.
