Shelsley Starts!

For the first time in 2013 the Teme Valley in Worcestershire reverberated to the sound of highly tuned racing engines at the weekend as the Midland Hillclimb Championship made its first of three visits to Shelsley Walsh.

The hallowed tarmac of The World Famous venue was in fantastic condition following a whole host of winter improvements and records tumbled as a result. Both the resurfacing to The Esses section and the improved banking on the inside of Crossing Bend seemed to be universally popular amongst the drivers.

Murray’s in the Money!

The biggest prize in 2012 British Hillclimbing was awarded on Sunday as the BARC (SW) Centre presented £1000 to the driver who improved their class record at Gurston Down by the largest margin on the day.

The Big One is Here!

The Gurston Down 1000 meeting, with it’s large cash prize, is now upon us.

This is the first time that the venue has held a round of the Midland Hillclimb Championship, will one the MHC contenders take the prize or will it be one of the Gurston regulars? Everyone has an opinion on who they think will get it.

Soaking Shelsley – The Classes

Whilst the big boys were attempting to qualify for the Top 12 Shootouts at The World Famous Shelsley Walsh, the class runners were chasing hard for Leaders and Midland championship points. Wet conditions can often throw up some surprise results and this weekend was no exception.
