Shelsley gets a Brazilian!

Glancing at the entry list for this weekend’s British Hillclimb Championship round at Shelsley Walsh we noticed a few new names in the Sports Libre classes.

Mike Turner is a familiar face in the hillclimb paddock as a regular spectator at Midland hills. Mike is a very experienced circuit racer who has been an S2000 regular for several years with a Lola T89/90 (the car which Scott Moran used for his circuit debut last year). For 2011 though Mike, along with co-driver John Owen, has bought an MCR-Duratec S2000.

MCR is a Brazilian race car manufacturer and the MCRs were very succesful in South America. The chassis has now been re-designed for S2000 and are manufactured in Pembrokeshire.

It’ll be great to see another new marque of car on the hills, and great to see Mike & John having a go. Have fun guys!
