Brodie Branches Out

600cc Marengo driver Brodie ‘Tree-limb’ Branch has acquired a new hillclimb toy for use in the increasingly popular pre-85 Single-Seater class in the Midland Hillclimb Championship.

Branch has purchased the ex Griffiths/Harvey Pilbeam -Hart MP53 turbocar from veteran hillclimber Barry Lines. Brodie said “it is a stunningly prepared car, I saw it at Barry’s place when I was looking at a different car and I just had to have it”.

We cannot wait to see this piece of 80s hillclimb history back on the hills, and with Branch’s skills behind the wheel it could go faster than it ever did.

** Note: there were rumours heard in the paddock at Shelsley Walsh at the weekend that Barry Lines had passed away. We are glad to say that these are not correct, it was easy to check this as Barry was there competing in his Argo!**
