Double Dry Doune!?

The penultimate round of the British Hillclimb Championship season took place at Doune in Scotland at the weekend and, after the record-breaking bonanza at the hill in June, miraculously this latest event was warm and sunny yet again!

As well as seeing a number of class records set over the weekend, we also crowned our 2014 British Champion. Having dominated with his usual brand of metronomic consistency and blistering pace, Ludlow driver Scott Moran claimed his fifth title, joining Martyn Griffiths and David Grace as a five times winner and just one win away from the record set by the late, great Tony Marsh.

Guernsey Finale

The Guernsey Kart & Motor Club held the Islands finale hillclimb of the 2013 season on Saturday at the short, but entertaining hill at Petit Bot.

Doune On-Board Action

With it ultra high-speed, claustrophobic, tree-lined ‘Tunnel’ section at the lower end of the hill, the curving blast through the Meadow and tricky East Brae and Esses section at the top, Doune Hillclimb in Scotland is undoubtedly the king of hills.

Terrific Terres

The second of the series of competitive hillclimbs organised by the Guernsey Motorcycle & Car Club on the Channel Island of Guernsey took place on Bank Holiday Monday.

Sims Raceway

The South West of England enjoyed its final hillclimbs of the year last weekend with a pair of single-day meetings at Manor Farm Hillclimb in Charmouth, Dorset.

This very technical, twisty and busy hill won the 2011 speedhillclimb.com award for Venue of the Year largely due to the track extension and the enthusiasm of the land owners & Woolbridge Motor Club.

Thrilling Gurston Finale

The 2012 Gurston Down hillclimb season came to an end yesterday with a one-day meeting organised, as always, by the BARC SW Centre.
