Jouhar acquired the car at the end of last season from Jonathan Gates. Monster Minis

This weekend at Prescott sees a battle between probably the 2 fastest Mod Prod Minis in the country.

Martin Depper’s Mini runs an A-Series engine mated to a 16v BMW motorcycle cylinder head and is the Min’ to beat in the Midlands. This weekend though he had a more stern challenge than usual. Gurston stars Graham and Neal Masters made their first ever appearance at Prescott with their KAD 16v engined car.

Neal made a slow start to practice, building his pace up slowly during the day, but he banged in a stonking first timed run early on Sunday morning to really challenge Depper. However a small error from Masters on the lower section of the hill on his afternoon run saw Depper win the battle. Martin also hung on to take the class win by 13/100ths from Andy Russell’s well travelled Ginetta G15.
