As we are now at the end of March, the club hillclimb season begins at Loton Park next weekend, and the British Hillclimb  Championship opener at Prescott is just over a month away!

SHC.com Film Night 12

As many regular visitors to this site will know, we are very into American Motorsports here at speedhillclimb.com and this weekend sees the start of the biggest series in American racing, the North American Stock Car Auto Racing series. NASCAR!

So SHC.com Film Night this week will look at the Blue Riband race for the NASCAR series, the Daytona 500.

Updated Records

The past two months have seen a spectacular number of Outright Hill Records set in the British Hillclimb Championship.

One of the side effects of these stunning results is that some of our Hillclimb data was getting out of date.

Normally we would update the information during the off season. However with five records having been reset in the past few weeks by Scott Moran, Trevor Willis and Jos Goodyear, we have done a mid-season update!

Small But Perfectly Formed Craigantlet Entry

The busiest fortnight in British Hillclimbing continues this weekend as, just a two weeks after the expensive sea-crossing to the Channel Islands, the competitors and crews are back on a boat to cross the Irish Sea this time to Belfast for the Craigantlet Hillclimb.

Most of those making the crossing face a 500 mile journey from Wiscombe Park in Devon where they were competing last weekend. This part of the season is the one that really rewards reliability as a problem at any of these events can cost a massive number of points.
