Who would have predicted two years ago that a 2-litre class car would win a National Run Off, in the dry, at Shelsley Walsh?

The venue was in superb condition for the biggest event of the year.


Not very many people, if any. But at Shelsley in August Warwickshire Motorsport Engineer Jos Goodyear did exactly that with the 1400cc motorcycle engined GWR Raptor 2. And what’s more, he did it with a time just a couple of tenths or so away from Martin Grove’s long-held Outright Hill Record at The World Famous venue.

The real jewel in the crown of British Hillclimbing is The World Famous Shelsley Walsh Hillclimb in Worcestershire. The oldest mainland hill is a great place to visit and soak up the history of our sport.

This weeks installment of the speedhillclimb.com Film Night is a pretty special one. Throughout this series, which has run over the past couple of years, we have featured films from professional motorsport covering amazing films or topical subjects.

We were very honoured to be invited to attend the British Women Racing Drivers Club Awards do at the Gaydon Heritage Motor Centre last Saturday.

Spectacular Shelsley Scheduled

This weekend is The Big One at Shelsley Walsh in Worcestershire.

A huge entry of cars are scheduled to appear at The World Famous venue as the British, Leaders, Midland and Paul Matty Championships are joined by a mouth-watering selection of historic cars. The Lotus marque is the theme for this weekend and there will be a celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Lotus Elan during the weekend.
