Speed hillclimb cars can range from the humble road-going Mini to bespoke, F1-powered, carbon fibre rocket-ships with modified, sport-racing and historic cars inbetween. Unlike the rest of motorsport which is becoming increasingly dependant on ‘one-make formula’, there are virtually no restrictions on what can be done improve the performance of your car, especially the single-seater cars. This leads to an incredible amount of development going into the cars and many vehicles features wings, floor and bodywork honed in wind-tunnels and bespoke chassis being produced using CFD and autoclaves.
