OMS are the most prolific manufactures of bespoke hillclimb cars, having built nearly 200 cars specifically for the hills.

Like Force Racing Cars, OMS produce cars for every single-seater class in British Speed Hillclimbing and in recent years have taken runoff wins and outright hill records with Trevor Willis and his V8 powered CF06 model. As well as the successes at National level, OMS drivers are always to the front of regional and single venue championships.

OMS 2011

The prolific Yorkshire car builders provided the surprise of the season with Trevor Willis turning up at Prescott in April with an all-new V8 powered OMS 25 chassis.

As well as Willis’ car, there were several other 25s running this year (alongside the 2011 works car). Tim Wilson, Lee Griffiths, Nev Rollason & Craig Bates scrapped all year in the midfield of the 1600s, alongside Lynne & Steve Owen, but the 25 will need a step forward in performance if it is to challenge at the top of the class.

Plenty of success has come OMS’s way this year though with Willis’ BHC podium finish and older chassis dominating at club level.
