Le Val des Terres Hillclimb, Guernsey

Le Val des Terres is British Hillclimbing’s equivalent of the Monaco Grand Prix.

How to get to Le Val des Terres

St Peter Port, Guernsey GY1 1, Guernsey

First get yourself to Guernsey. Then travel to St Peter Port. From the town centre head down the hill to the coast, turn right and keep walking – you can’t miss it! Or if you’re coming off the boat turn left.
The first thing you’ll come to is the paddock at the bottom of the hill.

Facilities at Le Val des Terres

There is a burger van and ice cream van near the paddock, but as it takes less than 10 minutes to walk into St Peter Ports town centre – there’s really no limit to the facilities available!

The Hillclimb at Le Val des Terres

With the paddock based on the edge of St Peter Port town the cars climb from sea level through a twisting series of medium speed corners, a fast straight and a challenging S-bend to the finish. Do or die efforts can often see cars crossing the finish backwards.

850 yards long (0.48 miles, 0.78 km)

Current hill record: 27.36secs – Jos Goodyear (GWR Raptor), 21st July 2012.

Other Key Information
