Werrington is Go!

The May Day Bank Holiday is traditionally the start of the Cornish Hillclimb year. The fast and challenging Werrington Park hillclimb near Launceston on Saturday and Sunday features rounds of the ASWMC Hillclimb Championship as well as the Cornish Speed, ACSMC Hillclimb, SBD/HSA Speed, Torbay Speed and Revington TR Championships.

Terry Graves holds the outright record at Werrington

Plymouth Motor Club, who always run a great event, are the organising club for the venue and will host a varied entry of local saloons, sports and single-seaters as well as a healthy group of cars from further afield who travel with the HSA and ACSMC Championships.

If you have never been to Werrington Park before, then do make the effort, it is worth the entry fee for the sight of drivers threading their cars through the stone gate and over the infamous covered cattle grid alone!

The venue is just off of the A388 to the North East of Launceston (PL15 9SR for sat navvers), and practice runs start at 10am each day.
